Ben Boys Shorts-Sandstone are shorts in the darker shade of sand. Suitable for neutral based wardrobe or easily matched with any colors. We design and make Ben Boys Shorts-Sandstone in Sydney studio, Australia. This is a simple, timeless style. Very easy on eye and comfortable to wear. The fabric has a good stretch which makes them pleasant to wear. The waistline is added last, and it is topstitched to the shorts with long straight stitches. The pocket opening has decorative topstitching too. Along this edge we use interfacing fabric to strengthen the edge, so it does not stretch when holding hands in the pockets. We attach the interfacing with hot iron.
Before cutting out the fabric we wash the fabric to prevent any shrinking. Stretch cotton shrinks around 5%. For the ongoing maintenance you can wash these shorts in lukewarm or cold water and line dry. Hot iron is Ok to use, however twill resists wrinkling so you may not need it.
This sand color is very popular. The pattern is quite timeless so you can definitely pass them on to the next child. The shorts come with a faux zipper, and decorative button at the waistline so they look like any pants. Elastic waist makes them easy to pull on for the small hands. These have two pockets at the hip line. These are longer type of shorts that can be folded up or worn like bermuda shorts. That extra length is handy as kids grow tall in no time.
The shorts are great staple piece for any boy’s wardrobe. As the fabric is cotton it is pleasant to wear in summer. At the same time fabric is thick so can be worn during spring too.
