Ben Boys Shorts-Mustard are classic shorts in a lovely shade of golden yellow, commonly known as a turmeric or mustard. These shorts are designed with faux zipper for decorative purpose; however, they are easy to wear as they come with elasticized waistband. They also have a decorative resin button. at the hips there are pockets which are beautifully shaped and topstitched along the opening. At the opening we insert a strip of interfacing fabric. That fabric is ironed onto the fabric with a hot iron and helps to keep the shape of opening. Extra care is taken with creating each piece of clothing. Ben Boys Shorts-Mustard are mid-thigh long and can be used for everyday play of a special occasion. They can be styled with a simple shirt or with a nice button up shirt depending on occasion.
These shorts are made in our Sydney studio using stretch cotton twill. The fabric is prewashed before cutting it our as this type of cotton can shrink 5% in the first wash. Cotton twill is very soft and durable fabric. It even resists wrinkles which is very convenient for fast living. Easy maintenance shorts.
We make our own designs, so we include a hole where elastic can be inserted or pulled out and changed if needed. We design with the idea that clothes will last longer and be able to repair or adjust. There is extra length and width at the hips so these shorts will last more than a season. They grow with the child.
