Later he moved to Queensland and learnt more about his culture from Elders along with the permission to create different types of art styles. Stephen discovered he is a descendant of the Kamilaroi Nation, such as Pearce and Saunders and most of Stephen's relatives who come from the area of Kamilaroi Nation.
