The Safety Pin is an electronic device aimed at deterring criminals.

The product is designed to be clipped onto clothing - preferably your collar.

A siren is activated when the device is pulled away from the material omitting a very loud 110db siren.

The Safety Pin can be deployed many times with the battery tested to last up to 50 hours of continual alarming.

Unlike other products, it has been designed to clip onto your collar, handbag or backpack so you can easily deploy it in an emergency.

The product was developed by a Melbourne Mum worried about her daughter walking at night.

It is perfect for men and women of all ages concerned about their safety.

How to use

Only use the appliance as described.

The Safety Pin is an electronic device and needs to be handled with care.

Do not drop the device on the ground

Do not immerse in water or any other liquid.

Do not allow the device to be exposed to rain or moisture during use or storage.

The device contains button batteries that are harmful to children if swallowed so replace batteries with extreme caution.

Always check the device for damage prior to use. If any damage is observed, DO NOT use the appliance.

The device has no user serviceable parts. Do not attempt to access the appliance covers.

The device is for personal use only, not designed for commercial use.

Do not use the device if it is not working properly, if it has been dropped or if it has been immersed in any liquid.

The device is not to be used by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instructions concerning use of the device by a person responsible for their safety.

Children need to be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the device.

Do not place the device close to your ear or the ear of any other person and it may cause hearing loss.

Do not replace the batteries with rechargeable batteries.

BATTERIES

Batteries should be changed every 12 months.

The batteries have been tested to 30 hours on continuous siren use.

You should check the product works on a regular basis to ensure the batteries do not need replacing.

Batteries can be accessed by using a precision screwdriver to open the battery enclosure on the rear of the device.

Batteries included are BUTTON BATTERIES which pose a serious risk to children if swallowed. Keep out of reach of children at all times and then dispose of the used batteries safely. Used batteries should be taken to a recycling station and not disposed of with household waste.

Replacement batteries are type AG13 (LR44).
